The Fourth Incident.
(What was the 4th cow got used for another purpose, so it is actually the
fifth cow now). This cow, like the others, again has a completely different
fate then it's predecessors. You would have thought there's not a whole
lot else that could happen to a fake cow at 2am wouldn't you?
As we were putting the finishing touches on cow #5 (Gertrude, per Chris's request), we had an idea. Let's make a bigger animal then usual! So, we started construction on cow #6, except the body was about a foot bigger round than any of the others. Actually, it makes the other cows look small compared to it (Here's a picture of a normal cow next to the monster cow). Somewhere along the line, Justin decided that it would be interesting to build something other than a cow... Well, most of us didn't really go too much on the "other animal" idea, but we did it anyway. The structure stayed the same as a cow basically, except that we put the head of an elephant on it and painted it grey. Now we have our first male animal, Clyde.
While we were building cow [elephant] #6, about 4 other people showed up wanting to go along... So we took off with both "cows" plus 2 more cars tagging along who wanted to watch. This of course made it very difficult to steak [:-)] out, but, we tried anyway. It proved to be too difficult to plant the cow at the normal spot because of traffic, so we moved a few times to different spots, until it finally got too late and everyone else took off. Fine with us, it's much easier [better] with less people anyhow. We tried a new spot, but it was no good. None of the places we'd tried worked because there just wasn't a good area to sit and observe from. This night was an interesting experience, and we learned a couple of places not to go, and that it really doesn't work with too many people.
