The body itself is about 40 inches long, maybe about 3-4 feet tall (plus the head). The head is a shoebox and another small box taped together (Duct tape of course is our exclusive fasterer/adhesive/etc for cow-building), attached to a piece of pipe running into the body. The head flips open to reveal the battery packs which power the little christmas lights in the "brain" that give the eyes a slight glowing effect. The body is a piece of cardboard rolled up into about a 22 inch diameter tube (it's about the size of a 55-gal oil drum), which stands on 4 2x4 legs nailed to the "spine" inside the body. The tail is a piece of air hose with some welding rod inside of it to make it shapeable, about 30 inches long. Attached to the end of the tail is a balled-up dirty shop rag. The entire cow is wrapped in white butcher paper from head to hoof, and then the spots are painted on with some flat black krylon. After the painting, the udders are attached - a rubber glove blown up and duct taped to the body.
